ux strategy & website design

FrontLine Service is a northeast Ohio nonprofit providing resources to help those in crisis and trauma, whether due to circumstance, mental illness or experiencing homelessness. Their previous website, developed in 2004, was text-heavy and cumbersome with an overloaded navigational system. Stakeholders felt the site was difficult to use and find information within. FrontLine sought a modern and responsive update that would illustrate their mission and services and speak clearly to their different audiences and promote client success stories. The redesigned site is visually driven with a simplified navigational system that divides site content into three concise buckets: services, organization information, and ways to get involved. Additionally, the site keeps clear calls to action and key resources visually prominent throughout via a top navigational bar containing links to the organization’s crisis chat, crisis hotline, and donation portal; scrolling buttons linking users to either the support chat or donation portal; and visual blocks at the bottom of every page.
